Ladder Capital Corp (“Ladder” or the “Company”) (NYSE:LADR) today
announced that Marc Waldman, a leading commercial mortgage loan
originator, has joined Ladder as a Managing Director in Originations.
Mr. Waldman joins Ladder from Deutsche Bank, where he served as a
Managing Director since 2013 and was responsible for over $6 billion in
commercial real estate loan originations for both securitization and
balance sheet execution.
Mr. Waldman reports to Michael Mazzei, Ladder’s President. Mr. Mazzei
noted, “We are very pleased to have Marc join the Ladder team. Marc
brings substantial transaction experience, a strong credit orientation
and his deep understanding of clients’ needs to Ladder.”
Mr. Waldman is Ladder’s most recent hire as the Company continues to
invest in its proprietary, in-house real estate investment platform.
Ladder hired five analysts in origination, underwriting, securitization
and asset management in the second half of 2016.
Prior to his tenure at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Waldman most recently served
as an Executive Director in UBS’ U.S. Real Estate Finance group and
previously was a member of the Proprietary Lending Group at GMAC
Commercial Mortgage. Mr. Waldman earned a B. S. in Business Management
from Boston University and a M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from
Goizueta Business School, Emory University.
